TheWizards Trophy
The New Wizards Trophy--the magical equivalent of an Oscar, with 14-carat gold plating and white
gold plating (silver) --is a
true hand-made trophy any proud magician would love to have.
This trophy is now being offered to all magical fraternities. For full information regarding the Wizards
Trophies, call Leroy Goodenough 1.530.295.3477 or majician@comcast.net
Wizards Trophy History
In 1995 there were a few discussions regarding the fact that no significant trophies were given to the
contest winners or to a magician for special recognition. The ones given in the past had been cheap lit-
tle card fans or some non-magical units given as trophies. So Leroy Goodenough of the Society of
American Magicians Assembly 112 decided that he could make a nice hand-made Wizards Trophy. A set of high
standards was required and had to be met in order to win a Wizards Trophy. It became a tradition
for S.A.M. #112, and it was an honor to win and be presented with a Wizards Trophy. In 1996 the
first Wizards Trophy was awarded to Stan Jacobson. Other winners followed.
